Dear readers, I’m so glad you’re here! Welcome to my very first blog post. My website has been launched and I am excited to slowly but surely start and expand this new hobby.
We’re living in a weird and challenging time right now. Covid has threatened everyone and everything we hold dear. The current state the world is in made me realize there is no time to waste to start checking things off of the bucket list. A big chunk of my bucket list is travel-related, so those items are difficult to complete at the moment. However, one of the items on my list that I could work on from my home office is creating a place where I can store my past and future travel memories. I have never had a website before and it has definitely been trial and error getting this website online. On the other hand I have loved the process of learning new skills and seeing it become something real.
Travel has changed the past year. The ease of traveling has gone, at least for now. I have seen this crisis take a toll on the field I work in and it’s been difficult to see the hospitality industry take such a downfall. Seeing businesses that have been around for ages close down and hardworking people losing their jobs. Realizing we cannot take anything for granted, it makes the travel experiences I’ve been able to have even more special. Moreover, thinking positively, the lack of international travel can be seen as an opportunity to explore everything the local surroundings have to offer. Although it may take a while, I’m sure we’ll all be able to go out and wander the globe again one day.
Until that time, with this website I want to regularly share photos (mostly, I’m not that big on writing) to be able to relive some travel moments, reflect on my memories, whilst perhaps inspiring you and others.
Feel free to stick around and look at a few galleries I have already been able to put online. Follow me on Instagram for daily travel pictures and inspirational quotes. Thank you for taking time out of your day to be here!
